Positions Available

Dave Cole Decorators, Inc. has immediate openings for entry-level and experienced Commercial & Industrial Painters to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings, and other surfaces. An excellent painter is knowledgeable in selecting the right material for their job and has experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. They must be reliable and possess great attention to detail in completing their duties. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality painting work to our customers who expect both the practical and aesthetic benefits of our work.

Responsibilities

  • Make on-site preparations such as prep work, covering fixtures etc.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
  • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
  • Mix paint (epoxies and urethane) and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
  • Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
  • Apply varnish and other finishes
  • Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions

Skills

  • Willingness to travel and work required schedule
  • Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
  • Good basic math skills
  • Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
  • Be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Conscientious with great attention to detail and customer service

Dave Cole Decorators, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced sandblaster to work on their first shift operations at their sandblasting and painting facility. An excellent sandblaster is knowledgeable in selecting the right material for their job and has experience in blasting and painting with various tools and blasting media, in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. They must be reliable and possess great attention to detail in completing their duties. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality work to our customers who expect both the practical and aesthetic benefits of our work.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by using different types of blasting media
  • Mix paint (epoxies and urethane) and other materials to prepare the right color or texture as per data sheet
  • Sandblast and paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
  • Apply epoxies and other finishes to metal surfaces
  • Order paint accurately
  • Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
  • Maintain workspace in a functional and tidy manner
  • Operate equipment such as a forklift or Pettibone
  • Prepare paperwork necessary for client billing
  • Keep accurate time on multiple jobs per day

Skills
